Hi Beauties!
Today I'm gonna
share two career oils' review from the brand Soulflower. The oils are versatile
and can be used on face and hair as well. So let us get started.
Soulflower has
become a known name in India but for those who are unaware of the brand, here
is a small introduction: a homegrown
brand of natural aroma products and pioneer of the unique concept of Spa@Home.
What I like the most about this brand is its excellent customer
support (you can contact the team via whatsapp and ask doubts or seek
consultation about which product to be used for what).
Apart from this, all products are absolutely natural and free from
preservatives and parabens.
GRAPESEED CARRIER OIL:
What company
says: Great for
stubborn acne, tightens and tones the skin. Use it as a moisturizer under the eyes.
Reduces Stretch marks & sunburns & promotes Hairgrowth. Also reduces
feet odour.
Direction of
use: Add 2-3 drops of any
essential oil in 6-8 drops of this oil and apply on skin. It can also be
applied directly and massaged onto the skin & hair or with other carrier oils.
MRP: 350 INR
Shelf life: 2
years.
Special direction:
Use within 6 months after opening.
Ingredients: cold
pressed Grapeseed oil.
My
experience: I have a
combination, acne prone skin which tans easily. I used to be very suspicious of
using oils on my skin due to my skin type. Nevertheless, I love using
oils and wanted to give this baby a try. And I am very very happy with it.
Although it is a
oil, it is not greasy and surprisingly absorbs well into the skin
quickly. It has never aggravated my acnes or caused breakouts. I apply this oil
in day time after cleansing. I leave it for about 10 mins and then apply a
moisturiser. I must say it adds a beautiful healthy glow to the skin.
And I often get
compliments that my skin remain fresh even after the whole day's work. (point
to be noted I am not much of the make up person and don't usually use even a
compact).
However, the pore
tightening claim is yet to be observed. I have been using it for like 2 months
now but have not seen much change in pore size.
P.S I need to try it in summer. As for winter, It's really good moisturiser cum toner.

Here you can see how well the skin drinks it.

JOJOBA CARRIER OIL:
What company
says: It is a nature's
tonic for scalp. (I agree:)) It helps to control hair fall and tame frizz. This
oil works the best as a makeup remover and adds a golden sheen to the skin.
Directions of
use: Add 2-3 drops of Tea
tree and rosemary essential oil each in 6-8 drops of jojoba carrier oil and
apply on your scalp to control hair fall.
MRP: 450 INR
Shelf life: 2
years.
Special direction:
Use within 6 months after opening.
Ingredients: cold
pressed Grapeseed oil.
My experience:
I wanted a natural
leave in conditioner that controls my frizzy hair. Soulflower recommended me
this. And I must say, it is awesome! I have thin hair and was afraid that the
oil will weigh my hair down but nothing like this happened. I just take 3-4 drops of this oil, rub it on my palms and then apply on the bottom half of my
hair to tame the frizz. and it makes my hair softer and frizz free. This oil
is a lovely hair serum for sure!
I have previously used Livon, Matrix's serum and Jafra's split end capsules. They all made my hair frizz free, silky and imparted party style shine to my hair but this oil makes my hair look soft which I really like.

I also asked them
to suggest something for a radiant and fair skin. They asked me to mix 5-6
drops of this oil with Lavender essential oil and apply on face before bed. I
find this formula a little greasy for the skin. However, my skin has not got
into any trouble because of it. On face, I have not observed much difference yet.
Let us wait:)

Will I recommend
it?
Again, Soulflower
offers decent and authentic products. You can, without a doubt, try it as long as you are not expecting miraculous results.
Will I buy it again?
No. I need a natural, liquid leave in conditioner. So I will hunt for that.

Overall Verdict: There are so many brands waiting to be tried out, and I really don't think Soul flower's results are worth coming back to.
