A scrub I would never miss and would easily pass by. St. Ives is no special treat for my long cherished skin.
Product details: From America's #1 Scrub brand, this award winning Apricot Scrub with 100% Natural Exfoliants, deep cleans, instantly leaving skin smooth and glowing.
Formulated without parabens, Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist tested, Non-comedogenic
MRP: 349 INR
Qty: 170 g
Shelf life: 2 years
Ingredients:
Directions: Moisten face with water, dispense product onto fingertips and massage over face. Rinse with water. For best results, use 3-4 times week.
My experience: 'America's No. 1 scrub brand', when I read it, I knew I would end up buying it out of curiosity, and so it happened. I was nostalgic about my Lotus Herbals Apricot scrub but could not stop myself trying out new products. I thought St. Ives would be better, but I was mistaken. There was nothing about the scrub except its quantity that impressed me.
The granules are harsher than all other facial scrubs I own, and this single reason is enough to make me want to discard it. I can't even think about using it on my face, still, I did use it religiously for two weeks for giving it a chance. Although it does remove the dead skin and is creamy enough to not leave the skin dry at all, I still could not find any other merits that would make it stay on my shelf for long.
And finally, it is out of my sight. I used it as body scrub for a while, but then there are even better body scrubs than this one.
Pros:
1. Oil free
2. Dermatologist tested
3. Sulfate free
4. Paraben free
5. 100 % natural
6. The amount is really good; one tube will easily last you about 6-10 months.
7. Creamy and doesn't make skin dry.
8. Budget and travel friendly
Cons:
1. Granules are relatively harsher
Overall Verdict:
Out of sight, out of mind.
Will I recommend it?
Never.
Lots of love, Neha
